05 Nov OHA UK Praised for Covid-19 Protocols
In the October half term, we ran our Battle & Compete camp. In order to do so, the team followed the government guidelines to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
OHA UK management would like to thank our coaching staff and camp attendees for strictly following the rules set in place to allow our camps to go ahead. OHA UK would also like to share an email we received from a parent, which is a testament to the hard work put in place to keep the camps safe:
“I just wanted to thank you for running the most phenomenal hockey camp last week. [Our children] cannot stop talking about it and they have come away really motivated to play every minute of every day. The professionalism of your coaches and staff was truly outstanding and the on-ice organisation was incredible (as were all the covid safe procedures which were efficient and easy to follow) and from what I have heard from the boys, the off-ice programme was equally well organised. The boys can’t wait to come back and do another camp with you (if you’ll have them!!).
So thank you for giving the boys this opportunity and a touch of normality in these weird times. I hope you have had a well-deserved rest for the rest of the week!”
COVID Officer Dave Ridley said “We have been working hard with our staff and the Better Link Centre to ensure that we followed EIHA and Government guidelines, as well as ensuring that everyone would have a safe and enjoyable time at the Battle and Compete camp. It’s great to receive such positive feedback from one of the camp attendees as well as the people we spoke with during the camp, It’s a challenging time at the moment but it’s our priority to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to play hockey safely at our camps.”
Head Coach Ryan Aldridge said “I was blown away by the positive response from parents following the camp. Ice hockey is a fantastic sport to be involved in and we are delighted we could continue to run our camp through such a difficult time in the world. We wanted to ensure the players enjoyed themselves as much as possible, whilst staying safe.”
Our next camp is our Shooters, Scorers & Goalies camp on the 22nd December to the 24th December 2020. If you would like to book, please visit: https://hockeyschools.co.uk/camps-2020/
